What is eVGM?
In the transportation sector, electronic container verification is moving the carriers around the world a great deal. An international standard provides that each container is weighed prior to its shipment as of July 1, 2016. Prior to this standard, containers had an average gross weight stipulated by the carrier which led to numerous problems in the weight of ships and handling problems in ports. The convention establishing the gross weight checked will make logistics more secure and efficient worldwide.
